MEET ERION SPENCER
Erion Spencer is the Operations Intern at C3, Construction Career Collaborative. As a freshman with 72 credit-hours, she is on a fast track to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at the University of Houston.
While in high school, she worked very hard in the classroom to maintain her ranking and GPA. Spencer utilized her resources and took college courses offered by her high school through the Dual Credit program. By doing this, she secured her chances of going to college and pushing herself beyond expectations. Outside the classroom, she was an active member of many National organizations, such as, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. Her involvement in these groups allowed her to bring a change in her school and community.
Additionally, Spencer held a part-time position at a local shoe store throughout high school. There, she learned how to be a part of a team in a way that expanded upon what she learned in the classroom. Her performance and positive attitude lead her to being promoted after being with the company for a year. In the meantime, her pathway counselor arranged a month-long internship with Axiom Construction. There, she assisted the daily duties of an Assistant Project Manager, and had the task of following up with subcontractors, preparing blueprints, and keeping up with the progress of active projects.
As a young woman entering the construction industry Erion Spencer is offering her fresh perspective and “can do” attitude to C3, Construction Career Collaborative.
